I never understood why a nozzle with some tines was called a "swedish massager" when all it does is vacuum you. Sure, it does pet hair but it sucks (tired old vacuum pun intended) as any sort of massager.

Today I actually read my Classic 3 manual and the Swedish massager IT references is an attachment to the Handi Butler flexible shaft that consists of an eccentic weight that goes in the chuck, with a plastic housing.

Anybody ever see one of these? Are they uncommon or obtainable?

The sander attachment for the G series machines also doubles as a massager. Unlike the Handi Butler version, which connects directly to the spinning motor, the G series sander/massager, which goes under the comparatively generic sounding name 'Turbo Accessory System', is powered by air flow. Both systems show up on eBay fairly frequently although the Handi Butler is often incomplete.

Thanks, human. I have a couple of Handi Butlers I've never fooled with, and neither had the massager. I will keep an eye out on ebay.

I find that one of mine, which has a red housing, has a port for the flex shaft, while the other, with a metal housing, does not. Where the port should be is only a bump The red one has a bad bearing, which I could replace but would rather not, because I'd prefer a single unit that will drive all the accessories. Was there a version made that had both the flex shaft and the screw for the wire/buffing wheels?
