On the back of the box for the 1982-84 (before Dirt Devil) Royal Prince hand vacuums, pictured are the attachments that look entirely different from the Dirt Devil hand vac attachment set that ultimately replaced what you see here.

So, may I ask, how many of you Royal 501 owners actually have these particular attachments pictured on this box? The duster brush and crevice tool seem to be influenced by the 8-piece attachment set for the metal uprights as well as those used on their tanks and canisters.

Also, what did the attachment set for the '50s, '60s and early '70s versions of the 501 hand vacuum look like? I know they had to be gray in color at that time to match the overall trim color (1975-84 attachments for the 501 were medium blue in color, with the exception of the converter accessory which is chrome-plated).

I have a set of those, I think my hose is white with grey ends, it came with 1 curved long wand, a grey dusting brush, upholstery nozzle and crevice tool, all the attachments fit inside the hoe end just like the full size Royal's, I will take pictures and post them if you like. I bought them in 1977.

For those of you wanting to know the exact part no. for the complete pre-Dirt Devil hand vacuum attachment set, it is 191. During 1984, this kit was superseded by the all-plastic no. 192 attachment kit (no. 193 is similar except for being black tools instead of white) also used in the Dirt Devil hand vacs.
