Hi guys, great news, Anne R. Taber is recovering nicely and should be at the convention in June. At the moment she is in an assisted living facility called Miller's Merry Manor, an afiliate of Laporte hospital to help her recover from the broken ribs.

Already she's working on speach, and memory issues and trying to recall events from the early days of the club. She's requested that I send her old newsletters, and other material so she can bone up on vacuum cleaner history. These are the reports I wrote and she typed.

It's my hope that she will be released and able to attend the entire convention, if not she can get a 23 hour pass. I'm thinking the opening events might be best, but I'm hoping for the whole weekend.

This is V.C.C.C. history at it's best. See you in June.
Alex Taber.

Thanks John.

Post convention I'm bring her here to live with us. No more bouncing between Indiana and Pennsylvania.

This event has worked wonders, gave her an interest and a way to reconnect with the club she's been out of touch with all these years. And guess who taught me how to write a newsletter? She really was the backbone of the club in the earliest days. And you'll love this, she was the one who suggested I go to the Hoover Historical Center in 1980.

Original club secretary is on the mend.

Hi guys, Anne Taber is greatly improved and very excited about the convention. Last week I sent her material to read to help with memory and speach. I'm confident that she will attend the entire weekend, and have the time of her life. She's calling me on a daily basis and talking about the early years when she was the backbone of the V.C.C.C., nothing wrong with her memory now!
