Oreck Endurolife Belt & Grooved Pulley >> Compatibility With Older Oreck Models??

Hello! I am new to the VacuumLand. Org Forums, but I'm not ashamed to admit that I've had a life-long obsession & fascination with Vacuum Cleaners since childhood.

Now, I'm a constant tinkerer - always looking for ways to improve on existing designs or retrofit upgraded parts onto older models.

So! My question to you, VacuumLand Experts, is this:

I am the proud owner of an Oreck XL Type 7 / Model# U4120H2B - - And I want to know if there's any way I can Upgrade my Oreck to the new "Endurolife" belt style?

Now, I'm aware that the Endurolife Belt is a Ribbed Belt - and that it must be paired with the Grooved Pulley Brush Roll in order to work properly...

...But before I spend the money to go about this, I want to know if it's a feasible upgrade & whether or not these parts are compatible with my Oreck U4120H2B.

Oreck Endurolife Serpentine Belt
P/N# 75855-01 (New# 430000906)

Oreck Brush Roll w/ Grooved Pulley
P/N# 76218-01

The Oreck website says the above 2 parts are "Designed to work with Oreck Commercial Model#'s U2000Eb/U2000Rb/U2000Rb-1"...

...But I want to know if there's anything that would prevent me from installing an Endurolife Belt & corresponding Grooved Pulley Brush Roll - In my Oreck XL U4120H2B.

Oh, Almighty VacuumLand Vacuum Experts - Please give me your honest input / thoughts / feedback / concerns / advice on this idea of mine & let me know if this might actually be a feasible upgrade for me to install in my Pre-Endurolife Oreck!

(Is the Endurolife belt the same size as the Regular belt?)

(Is the Grooved Pulley Brush Roll the same length as the standard Oreck Brush Roll?)

Thank you very very much to anyone & everyone who can help shed some light on this for me!

Sincerely,
Justin in Chicago, IL

Ok it is possible but may be expensive and time consuming

Yes, the Endurolife roller is the same length as the standard, and the belt is too. But the thing is that for it to work properly, you need the grooved pulley on the motor end too. I work at a vac shop, and for people who are willing to spend a lot of money, we will either swap motors, or drill off the pulley and attach it to the old motor via weld. So, it is possible, but would either take you a lot of time or money.

Hope this helps,
Avery
