Orange Hoover 652 "senior" 220V for you

Hi guys!
Just posting this for a friend who barely speaks any English, so I offered to help out.

He's got this Hoover senior model for sale, model number 6525C.
Odd that it is orange, the senior range that was being sold here in Germany was mostly blue, so this one seems to be rare.

About the condition:
He says the machine is in working order but in a rather "fair" condition cosmetically (scratches, wear and tear, some sounds in the roller bearings, cable hooks wobbling, which obviously is a common thing with older Hoovers).
The handle fork has been replaced, the original one was sort of cracked and worn out). The new one is light greenish / grey (as you can see in the pic) and is said to be fine. The machine comes with a generic Euro plug, the motor runs on 220 V 50 Hz. No accessories (sold "as is"). Best offer + P&P.

I wish I had the spare cash to make a non-insulting offer on that thing of beauty.

This I would suspect might be the sister machine to your yellow 1354A.

The classic hoover emporium would love to own this creature and to give her a good home, but then so would most of vacuumland I suspect.

If there is any figure your friend has in mind, PM me and we will see if I can afford it. Kids have to come first though.

Well well well! Another orange one!
I dont know whether Hoover actually produced this orange one from the factory. Does anyone have a Hoover brochure showing one?
One of the Hoover shops I used to go to had some orange parts like rubber furniture guards and handle grips in orange lying in one of the storage cubby holes. I always wondered why. I think that Hoover might have produced rubber parts, bag hood etc. so that Hoover shops could recondition part exchanged old 652s and re-sell them. Maybe this is the orange Hoover reconditioning kit!?

I have another mystery to solve - I have a light orange Hoover bag and I cant remember where it came from. I'll post a photo soon.

Was your link not for a yellow 6525C rather than orange?

Apart from the wide diversity of "mainstream" models it does not take long for anyone who examines Hoover's output to see that they produced quite a variety of versions as special models, some which were never even in the mainstram line such as the Co-Op Senior (U4058?), the hardbag U1012 (one on ebay now) and the very many electricity board varieties (mostly with headlights). Or it could have been produced for another country, I have seen for example a yellow 427 in France (we had blue and orange) complete with ring twist plastic fittings which, as far as I know, were never sold in the UK.

Another example is that Connnies sold in Finland did not float - I am not thinking of the 822 here, but as far forward as 867A - see the link

But its still a great looking model, and clearly another thread in the tapestry that were Hoover Europe's cleaners.

Al, I agree with you - I have seen 1346A Juniors on ebay.de with the coral coloured bag and front plate - a UK collector imported one a few years back.

Nice colour though Joe, hope your friend manages to sell it!

It's just now that I have returned from my sister's wedding, so sorry for any delay.
Clark, I am sorry for you, the machine has been sold already (while I was away).
The deal is not fully completed yet, but for the time being I consider it as "sold". The amount should arrive any moment and then the Hoover will be shipped.

Ah, one more thing (talking about colour schemes):
I vaguely remember having seen Juniors and Seniors in "cornstalk yellow" /sunny bright orange and also a blue 652 with a scottish tartan cloth bag (in a shop, mind you).
Could have to do with the fact that I grew up very close to the French border, perhaps those were import machines. France even had Singer uprights (unknown to me then) and Singer canisters (rebadged AEGs)

I myself tend to be online just as long as the majority of readers is online (in a time zone) - other than that I am offline.

But ok, here I am back and online. If you like to find out more on Rowenta, here we go:
RObert WEnzel TAschenbeschläge (this is just the name of them) means: Robert Wenzel Taschenbeschläge (Beschläge = hardware, buckles etc. / Tasche = bag, purse, pocket). Rowenta is a genuine Hessian company, located 5 mins from Frankfurt, Main. I do remember Rowenta having produced a funny table-top dishwasher, being hooked up to a regular kitchen type tap with this wobbly, flabby rubber gasket funnel thing. Loud as a car wash on your kitchen counter, but fun nevertheless washing away just 4 persons' plates and spoons with such an ado.

Rowenta has gone ever since, they all merged into the French SEB group. (SEB now combines Calor France (most famous: their table-top plastic-pot type impeller washer "washboy" aka "mini-laveuse Calor"), Krups (German brand, hand mixers "3MIX" and other small appliances, mainly coffee grinders), Rowenta (all kinds of heating appliances, toasters, coffee makers and so on) and Tefal (now continuing mini-laveuse and coming up with other more recent gadgets such as "Actifry" (a deep fryer with a stirring motion and hot air system, just to reduce on calories and fat).
