vintage a/cs
In 1958, my father decided to get an a/c for the downstairs of our house. Living room dining and kitchen. He did not go to an appliance store. He called up Fedders and they sent a man out to survey what size we would need. The salesman decided on a 2 HP Fedders through the wall unit which would be about 20,000 btus. We had to bring in an additional 220Volt line and then the unit was installed. Either the same day or next day, the salesman comes back to show us how to operate it! Unheard of today!
