I think I'm going to get one of the refurbs from WallyWorld. I looked at all the models but don't understand the HEPA units. How/where is the HEPA filter? Also, any thoughts about the Kirby shampooer (why is there never any real poo) vs a home steam cleaner?

You might want to look at goodvac.com..............

Before you buy from that link, you might check out the above. They give you a warranty with them, you can even get an extended warranty for an additional price you could ad a attachment kit and shampooer for additional price as well. You only need one set of attachments and one shampooer for all G's series after the G4, due to the gasket....

Also check the reviews about a couple of sites like you are looking at to buy. I was concerned when I read them. One review I read said the vacuum received was nothing like the one pictured......

Sincerely,

PR, I read that review as well but went ahead and ordered the Ultimate G. I do want to get the shampooer as well. Now I just need to sell the Oreck and Hoover!

The reason why that Kirby seller is getting bad reviews is because they get their refurbished Kirby's from a Ebay seller called Great Vacs. Look closely at their pics, how it's laid out, & the accessories, & the description, & it's pretty obvious the seller is selling on Great Vac's behalf. I have read some pretty bad things about Great Vacs. Additionally, my ex Craig bought a refurbished Dyson DC07 from them....it showed in the Ebay listing as it having original Dyson tools....Great Vacs sent generic aftermarket tools, & the suction hose inside the powerhead was cracked & broken, had to buy a replacement on Ebay for it. I would strongly reccommend NOT to do business with them!
