"What is that"
Sorry,I sent the picture from a mobile phone,typing would be a cumbsersome task.
What "That" is,Is a switch from inside an Oreck upright's handle,the vacuum was given to me by a friend.
Well,SOMEBODY had the bright idea to dissasemble the handle,Do some "Redneck enginering",And use a piece of metal wire to hold two wire connectors together,to get the switch to "Function" in a way,instead of putting the conenctors on there proper positions on the switch,As there is 3 connections on the above switch,for 3 wires to connect to,not for 2 wires to b rigged in order to function.
A good question being,How did He/She manage to not see that there's a third connector?
It's a mystery that may never be solved,

The Neutral was conected to the switch,too.
Just thankfully not in a handle-melting fashion like the hot wires!
