Newer style belt on this Kirby

Is it okay to use a new style belt temporarily (301291) to test functionality ? I plan on purchasing the correct style but anxious to see how she works...thanks

I wouldn't
Those Plastic belt lifters are pretty rare.
Don't take any chances of breaking it. Get the softer belt.

Ask your local Kirby dealer (if ever there is one) for part no. 159056A (25 belts).
