Comment on the "U-Vac"
That cleaner is most likely made by Sebo, and wouldn't be considered a "knock-off". I say this because the company that distributes it, Century 400, is a division of the Karcher Group -- whose other subsidiaries include Windsor, the company that sells the Sebo-made Sensor and Versamatic machines.
Given Century 400's connections to Windsor by dint of corporate ownership, it would stand to reason that the U-Vac is a genuine Sebo.
The Hoover Insight, on the other hand ... I would certainly be inclined to call it a "knock-off" because of some of the things it has in common with Sebo. But, it wouldn't surprise me to see the words "Made in China" on the Hoover instead of "Made in Germany" (which is where Sebos and Windsor Sensors were coming from, last time I looked)!
