I bought this on ebay a little over a week ago and just got it this morning. After I took it out of the package, I Took the bottom plate off, cleaned the 4 agitators, cleaned the clear plastic with some paper towels sprayed with multi surface cleaner and put it back together when done. Dirt Cup was cleaned by previous owner.
So I plug it in, turn it on and start vacuuming. Sounds fine and surprisingly the agitators all work. So give it a couple of passes on the carpet and all of the sudden, I discover that the carpet I vacuumed was damp. So I turn the machine off and find that there is little drips of soapy water leaking out the front by the final filter. So I take it out, and it was a little damp, but not too bad. I check the plastic parts that I cleaned with cleaner and they were all dry, and after that I took out the dirt cup and felt the dog hair I sucked up with it and that was dry, so I Checked the hepa filter and discovered that was pretty damp. So I'm guessing that the previous owner cleaned the hepa filter while cleaning the dirt cup and you're not supposed to clean that filter, and the damp hepa filter is why the water is blowing out. Or could it be something else? I took the whole thing apart and have it drying out just in case water got into the motor.
Other than having to put a new handle release lever on it, nothing else is wrong with it, and it seems to have decent suction. It even came with the original owner's manual.
P.S. Sorry for the long post, I hope no one is confused by it.
