Ok, my Love for Tacony made vacuums lead me to make another vacuum purchase. I have been debating which Fuller Brush Vacuum I wanted and I finally picked the Mighty Maid. It was a close choice between it and the Fuller Brush Easy Maid. It may sound silly but I kinda still want to buy the Easy Maid too as I Like the Clear Opening over the Brushroll.
So, this Mighty Maid is a very nice vacuum. It’s quiet and has powerful suction. I like that since Tacony own them, they use the better quality material and things like the Metal Baseplate and the Crome Steel Brushroll with replaceable brushes. The handle is also Metal and very sturdy, the overall quality suprised me as I only paid $199 for it. (Retails for $349) but I have a business relationship with a very nice local vacuum dealer. He will actually text me pics and say.. hey check out this new vacuum.. I’ll sell you one for......
Now I will admit it is Not the same extreme quality, durability or same deluxe materials as Tacony uses to make the Riccar and Simplicity vacuums.... but for the lower price points, these Fuller Brush vacuums are very nice. I love that you can buy either good quality, inexpensive paper bags, if you’re looking to economize or if you’re like me, you can buy the best quality synthetic bags for added strength. The ONLY thing I was not truly fond of about this great vacuum.. the color! Red is my very least favorite color and this is one of only a small number of vacuums in my total collection that are Red... coincidentally the others Red vacuums are Fuller Brush as well. I own the Fuller Brush Power Maid HEPA Handvac, the Spiffy Maid HEPA Broom Vac, the Speedy Maid 8lb. HEPA Upright and I also own a few Dirt Devil Vacuums are trimmed in Red.
This Fuller Brush has done a great job cleaning all my carpets and rugs and thankfully it has a clutch type system to Stop the Brushroll from Spinning for Hard Floor Cleaning or when using the attachment tools. I also like that since it has very strong suction, on the back (See two pics 11 & 12) it has a suction release valve that works to reduce suction during floor cleaning or Tool cleaning. I haven’t found much to complain about yet and find it very enjoyable to clean with. Oh and it may sound silly but I do like the Large On/Off Switch located right on the handle near your thumb (pic 7). The one thing about the handle I would modify is the handle grip material is rather slick, no texture. I would like a rubber type grip on the handle grip, but that’s just a minor thing.
Let me know what you think and please if you have any questions, I’d love to answer them. Thanks!
