WOW, those are beautiful!! Especially love the vintage style hose....thanks for posting!

mmmm tasty is right. 15m retractable cord that's nearly 50 ft. I only wished there was sound so we could hear what sound it makes, quiet, moderate or ?

The look a little to utilitarian/commercial for my taste, but they do have some great features, and the hose is definitely nice!

I do like the hose - much lighter in weight and more flexible than vintage woven hoses. I do wonder, though, if the slightly 'loose' weave will show a tendency to snag on sharp edges...I guess only time will tell!

The motor comes with a 10 year guarantee, which is impressive. I'm just not convinced the overall build quality is *quite* as high as comparable Miele models...

Perhaps,

Just perhaps.....someone will make those hoses again for a variety of machines. You're right Jack....time will tell, but wouldn't it be great for us to get our hands on some really cool looking hoses for our vintage machines? I know they wouldn't be the original patterns, it's just interesting to know that someone is producing them again.

Thanks Joe, for the posting!

I WANT ONE!!!!!

I would put in a 220 volt outlet for that!, don't usually like anything new, but THAT HOSE!!! Wish they would sell it here!

I wouldn't look for these machines in North America.....

I'm not trying to burst anyone's bubble, but something tends to get "lost in translation" when the Bosch vacuums come to this side of the Atlantic. Let's not forget that their "fabulous" upright has now been rebadged in our country as a Dirt Devil and also as a Vax in the U.K. They were so smug and sure of themselves 5 years ago when they thought they would send their machines here to compete with the likes of other contemporary brands of German origin or something other...... They left their dealers in a lurch when they realized that the numbers weren't moving quickly enough. They sold out and started selling their wares through Sears.com and on shopping channels. When I mention Bosch to the dealer who sold me my machine, he foams at the mouth and points to the boxes of old Bosch inventory that he cannot sell. He's already told me to seek out eBay for bags because he will not re-stock them. I don't foresee Bosch making an impact in the North American vacuum market anytime soon.

'Let's not forget that their "fabulous" upright has now been rebadged in our country as a Dirt Devil and also as a Vax in the U.K.'

Actually, it was a Vax first, then a Bosch/Siemens/Dirt Devil. It started life as the Vax AVC1 and AVC2 models, designed and developed by Vax's design team, based in Droitwich, UK. Bosch rebadged it under their name, both in the UK, and in other markets.

This is one of the later Vax versions - the VX1.

My goodness! What are we to believe of Bosch if they no longer design their own products! On this side of the pond, they are the industry leader in spark plugs, fuel injection, and antilock brakes. Heaven help me to determine who REALLY created these things only for Bosch to market them with its good name.

I remember that Bosch upright... Sears had them in bag and bagless versions.. so did Future Shop. They didn't carry them too long and now neither sells bags etc for them.

Somebody in Vacuumland already mentioned that these new woven hoses by Bosch are somewhat problematic as all they have done is wrapped a rubber hose with vinyl mesh. Can't remember the details of the criticism, but it sounds like the weave has been plastered onto a very heavy inner hose, making it very inflexible. Apparently it is very different from the woven hoses we are used to from the traditional Eureka vacs of the 1960's.......

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong about this.....
