The link below is for an Ebay auction of a snip-bit of a page of a 1955 Montgomery Ward cataloge, What caught my eye in the top right corner is what appears to be a toy Hoover, but in all honesty I created this thread because I thought that the "Pretty-Maid" vacuum was an actual cleaner, the Hoover, too! but zooming in on the details explained all.
The toy Hoover is $8.29, and the Pretty maid $2.69, quite the difference!
