I saw a
new Prius yesterday, and it looks great! I like the small fins at the rear.
Not in my budget, but an electric is a viable choice today for many.

I have a Toyota Hylander Hybrid-2016-Love this car!We need better battery technology to make the electric car more comptetive to gas ones.Too small and not enough range-and charge times too long.

Electric cars have actually been around for many years. The one below is a 1905 model on display at the N.C. Transportation Museum.
I can drive short distances in my Hylander with it set to "Eco Mode"The distances is short-a few blocks.Sometimes do this while just getting to my house-the sound of the electric motors is sort of strange.This car has a separate motor on the rear axle to turn the rear whells-like on the front acts as a generator while braking-thus sending power back to the batteries.

a Toyota Highlander hybrid? That has to be comfortable on a trip. A grand Marquis or Crown Vic is an icon, but having gone out of production 5 years ago, you've got about 4 more before parts become scarce, then expensive. Maybe not things like a fuel pump, but an intake manifold which are prone to cracking because they are plastique', and no other car uses that type.

I can't imagine parts for a Crown Vic/Marquis becoming scarce anytime soon. They were fleet cars primarily and many are still in service with law enforcement agencies. Although my city's police department is gradually replacing their Crown Vics with Taurus-based Interceptors, the majority of its fleet are still Crown Vics. They're very rugged, dependable cars and they aren't going to completely fade away anytime soon.

I drive a 2004 Prius Hybrid and couldn't be happier! It easily gets 45mpg, 50ish if I'm careful! Actually surprisingly quick for having a 1.5 liter engine, step on the gas and it goes! Bought it with 174,000 miles in April and I'm at 186,000 now, the only thing I've done to it is a couple oil changes. Surprisingly comfortable and roomy, took a little getting used to, especially when it shuts off while driving or quits after coming to a stop light, but give it gas and off it goes! Does act differently than a traditional gas car, between the stopping and starting and the CVT transmission that never shifts, but aside from that, it drives like any other vehicle, only using far less gas! Usually takes $15 or so to fill up and I can usually go a week or so on a tank. If I wear it out, I'll definitely buy another Prius.
Yes,Toyota Highlander Hybrid-Limited.Love this car!!Didn't realize I spelled "Highlander" wrong until I looked at it on my car and on here.Guess trying to turn the name into a tradename?And this car has hauled its share of vacuums!The Highlander is a very comfortable car-its radio sound system is top notch-works great with the Bluetooth player in my IPhone.For a SUV car has some very nice luxary features.Its the Platinum Limited model.Figure I am going to keep this car for a LONG time.

The Taurus isn't selling well. I hear it may be done soon. I see more Explorer police cars. They share the same platform and don't cost any more.
Our city has already auctioned off most of the crowns vics. Newer cars are either Holden Caprice aka. Chevy, or Dodge Chargers. They switched from the Taurus a few years ago.
As nice as the Taurus is, it's expensive. The Fusion has to out sell it at least 4 or 5 to 1.
