I'm very Happy!

After a clean up and service of the motor, I took the vacuum for a test run through the house. It indeed is stunning! I can hardly hear it run,all I hear is the air rushing through the floor brush.Thepower nozzle got a test run on my sofa. I think that's probably the cleanest that sofa has been in awhile.Power nozzle sounds like new. I don't imagine it saw much use. So--I'm very Happy!

Motor chamber

I didn't see any insulation inside the motor chamber. The inside of the cord winder next to the motor has a round chrome looking ring that looks like a deflector for the exhaust. All I know it
runs nicely. It had the wrong width of carbon brushes though. It is amazing that it still was running that way. I didn't have any of the right size of brushes but did have carbon brush housings from an old model XXXmotor
After putting on the smaller housings to fit the smaller brushes I polished the commutator and reassembled the vacuum. It's a keeper for sure, it only set me back$20.00.
