Hi guys.... haven't posted on here in ages.
I've recently bought two new daily divers I wanted to share with you all.....
Previously had a Dyson upright and a Dyson V10 but decided I wanted something with a more robust feel to it. So I sold the two Dyson machines on eBay and bought two Sebo machines.
I originally bought the E1 and the new automatic X7, however I can't get away with the auto height adjustment so after a week I returned the X7 and bought the Evolution 350 as it has manual height control.
I've now had both machines for a month and a half.
The Evolution is my main machine. This cleans our house fully two or three times a week, and does a deep clean for an elderly relative that I care for at least weekly - so it is responsible for cleaning two houses. This machine gets 95% of the use as I prefer an upright. I've already filled a bag with it. Very happy with the performance of it.
The side mounted, foot operated on/off switch took a bit of getting used to but feels completely natural now.
This machine uses the same bags as the BS36 / 46 machines, the same pre motor filter as the Automatic X machines, and its own style pleated exhaust filter. The replaceable brush strips are also the same as the ones used on the BS36 machines.
Obviously this is a dedicated commercial machine so is built very very well (no flimsy bits) and the high visibility cord is super long.
The only downside is it is intended for carpet use only so hard floor performance is somewhat poor in as much as the brush roll will scatter larger particles on hard flooring - this is something I fully expected as the brush roll can not be turned off.
I paid around £300 for the machine itself and then an extra £130ish for a pack of bags, spare exhaust filter, stair stretch hose, large dusting brush with handle storage clamp, x2 extension wands and a push fitting Kombi nozzle for cleaning hard flooring - Sadly the Kombi nozzle from the E1 uses a clip tyre fitting so wasn't really usable with the Evolution. This has resulted in the Evolution being a really versatile machine as I can now use it to clean every flooring type with fantastic results.
Like I say this is my main 'go to' machine and easily gets 95% of the use
