What is the attachment between the vac and the package of bags?

The item in between bags and cleaner is

a demother unit. Take the end off the end and moth crystals went inside.

Wants these SuperJ/Olympia/Silverado machines,let me know, I see at least one or two a month in the bin at the Goodwill Outlet, 5:00 per machine, usually they have everything with them, and some look new, but usually the hoses leak like a sifter and people would rather go to Wal Mart and get some garbage for 50:00 than buy a new hose."Real stupid" but thats what happens, I bought a beautiful Olympia a while back ..5.00!

With the looks of the Paper

the bags should be okay to use. Water damage is usually what one has to worry about.The bag was the same quality until the bag was changed about 4 years ago.
