Nice one James! 
This one is the same as the old girl I rescued before Christmas. Mine has a boxed set of mint tools, well near mint!
This looks like the last version with no metal reinforcement bar on top of the bag, and the flat pressed aluminium Hoover roundel.
Mine is a mid term machine with the metal reinforcement, and the older roundel with the aluminium surround and perspex convex lens over the logo.
A very good find indeed sir!! Hope to get to see you again soon.

Did they ever have anything over there in that time frame that looked like the US 1060, 1070 "Convertibles" with the larger and more rectangular headlight lens? I'm assuming not as every Senior that I have ever seen from this era looked like the one above. Just curious

There were no machines this side of the pond with quite that much style! LOL
The only ones we had were the old 65 style, up to the 1970's when the U4002 ranger, then U4003 saw a brief period (post US release, I think only seen for one batch in 1974), Then we had the ranger style cleaners up to the very early 1980's where the UK launched the POWERPLUS Senior, with the US nearest relative being the DECADE 80.
It has to be said that overall, the UK Hoover design team were far far more restrained than you guys stateside. This was perhaps because the UK market was not quite as adventurous when it came to home appliance styling overall. I think the boldest statements we saw from Hoover were the imported U4003 in 1974, and some really quite garish colours olive green (U4014), bright sunset yellow (U2068 late), Harvest gold (U1036 early).
None of the square lens or non lit versions of the convertible made it to the UK, which is more the pity because some of those machines were the best looking variations in my humble opinion.

So now I'm really confused - could somebody clarify?
I've put together my 652 world view based on what I've collected and what I've seen on this site.
I therefore thought the 6525A series came in pink and grey and had the foot switch on the side. I thought the 6525B series came in (at least) green and had the switch button on the top of the case, rather than at the side. I'm not sure exactly what changed with the 6525C, but it came in (at least) blue.
So now I'm seeing your 6525A in green (didn't know they existed), and I recently obtained an alleged 6525B in green, but with a side-mounted switch (B with side switch?)
So what's going on? Am I just missing bits of information about which series had which colours? Did the guy I purchased the green 6525B with the side-mounted switch swap the ID plate with something else and it's really a 6525A underneath it all?
Thoughts anybody?

The 652B was the Aussie version of our later 652As. We had the 652A from the grey version to the version James has. The different versions were..........
652A Grey - side mounted under chassis switch
" Hop Green/Jonquil switch as above
" Swedish Green/Smoked Pine version 1 with switch as above
" Swedish Green/Smoked Pine version 2 with switch button next to the hood. still with the bag with the metal mounting at the top and round Os in the Hoover lettering.
" Swedish Green/Smoked Pine last version - as James' version. Note the "modern" bag hook and squared off Os in the Hoover lettering.
The 6525C came along in 1970, it was the 1st model with the 4 position Height adjustment.

That Swedish Green/Smoked Pine version of the 652A looks to be in very clean original condition for its age.
I also like your display in general and especially the Vintage Royal at the back.

It stays in the basement because the maid broke it.
It needs a new pulley, a new brusroll and a new hood.
And of course, needs a good cleaning inside...
Hopefuly I have three blue models.
Hoover Senior 652 are common in France, not to hard to find but most are in medium condition, sometime in bad condition. People in France do not accept shipping, and this is a problem to get easely.

i own a 6525b and i even got a spare belt although i did put a hoover turbopower fill tube because i wanted to have more readily available bags (type a bags instead of the hard-to-get type c bags) i have not used it in a long time hence the dust and do these vacuums have a headlamp?

I cant belive how close the colour is to the one I restored were the painshop got the colour wrong but i just stuck with it.
Here in South Africa the base was almost white with just a hint of green. You can see this on the before photo.
