Hre are some pics of my Lux's Not Electroluxes but Luxes the d790 is made in sweden but the lux1r is made somewere in the EU probibly hungry.

I have all the attachments some not shown for the lux1r
It is super quiet , making a miele sound like a jet but the hose is to short and and to big in diameter to alloy you to use it in confined spaces.
The PN is louder than the vac

Lux d790

This is the older d790 , manufactured by Electrolux ab for lux ( or so I was told)

I only have the hose wand and pn for this model but they are packed way some were.
It has a standard diameter hose and is much easier to use

Love that Lux

I thought they did ? with such a massive market I can't understand why they wouldn't

I got this one when they were closing due to lack of sales ( they over shot thier market ) they had hundreds ?

It could also be that it is very time consuming and expensive to get the machine UL listed , I know they are much tougher than any of the other saftey boards around the world, when I worked at Electrolux R&D SA I remember one of the engeneers from Eureka complaining about the fact that they are so much tougher than the UK or SA saftey boards

Love those Luxs. I'm sure there is more to go wrong with the electronics but they lok like such great machines.
Thanks for showing them !!

Lux is an off-shoot of Sweden's Electrolux. It was originally the exclusive door-to-door sales branch of that company in Europe. I think the division was sold to a family in Switzerland in 1998. It is a worldwide company now, with a very successful direct sales division in India named Eureka-Forbes.

Lux International cooperates with Aerus now in North America.

Here is the link to its history:

Hey there Gareth! Off-topic - I hear that Cape Town is a very beautiful city. It recently was listed by Travel and Leisure Magazine as the best travel destination to visit in the Middle East and Africa. Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Dubai follow in position 2, 3 and 4.

EP Brian - all the way across the ocean in Canada.... :-)
