I have a few 8mm and 16mm projectors-and a 35mm portable--but few films.Have MANY 35mm trailers from a movie theater-need more takeup reels and a soundhead for the portable-then I could watch moives with it-probably will need a "red" film analog soundtrack reader for my projector.Digital reader-later-much later time--BUT if you have the space and 3 phase you could get a surplus 35mm cinema projector-sometimes free if you can haul it away-along with the platter and make up system.Get your truck!Digital projector conversions in theaters have dumpted many 35mm projectors out there-sadly to the crushers and scrappers.Wish I could rescue them!Old projectors were fascinating things!Studios are quickly phasing out film prints-digital only!
I gave up on VHS--CRAPPY format-gave away and threw away many tapes.Only ones I have now pertain to vacuums and other appliances.including the rare Vita-Mix VHS video cookbook that came with the 4000 series Vita-Mix.I have a Sony VHS machine-the other two I had pissed me off so much--Fisher and some other brand--they went to the shooting "sandpit" and got their executions!Glad to see those horrible machines go-they ate too many tapes!Cleaning didn't help!

Ummm.

As far as I'm concerned, VHS is an excellent format. I only use pre ~1987 machines because in the 90's, everything started going to hell in terms of quality. I have repaired many VHS machines, and most of the time, all they need are new belts and a head cleaning. Never talk bad about VHS again.

The Zenith VHS machine looks like the same one my Mom used to have-used it while visiting her-rented movies and watched them. That machine, indeed worked well. But in general don't like VHS.Many other people that I know promply ditched their VHS gear and went to Laserdisc and DVD,BluRay.Have FAR less problems with those.Use my Sony VHS machine only occasionly.I haven't seen any 80's machines around lately-the Zenith one was the only one of that era I used. Now that my Mom is in an assisted living home-don't know what happened to her things.

i still use this
