I was wondering about the ProTeam uprights. I really want one because the new janitorial service @ our school uses them and they look fun. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to ask to use one yet. The model they have is the one with the on-board tools(1500?). Can someone tell me if they are any good and how the compare to other vacs. My local vac shop has them for $450 but online they're around $300 or so. Just some extra info-I have used the Lux like this so is it anything similar?

They look like the Lux uprights but they are better in several ways:
1.) Better brushroll that grooms the carpet better
2.) More powerful suction motor has more suction at the rug nozzle
3.) Very quiet machine
I use one everyday at my school and love it.
Get the one without on board tools because it is lighter weight, has more suction and doesn't clog up all the time. This one comes with an attachment set that plugs into the top of the cleaner like an older Lux upright. Hope this helps.

I loved it. So strong and powerful and quiet. When I owned my cleaning company I had one at a huge office I would clean. To heavy to lug around. The best cheap vac I ever had was a bissel upright bagged for 40 bucks at walmart I beat the hell outta that thing and it never quit.

Wow...

Cheaper than a Lux and better?! How could I not buy a wonderful machine like this. I know what my next brand-new vac is gonna be. I think this would be much more suited for me seeing I am lugging a Kirby around everywhere. I liked the on-board tool ProTeam just because of the easiness to use tools but I don't want to bother with unclogging a machine all the time. I saw the standard ProTeam model on Ebay go for about $150 in not bad shape.
