My daily watcher

This is my daily watcher . It is a 1966 13 inch b&w tv . I have been using it for 1 year . It is a full tube set the only thing that I had to do to it was replace the selenium phase detector diode that controls horizontal and vertical hold.

Nice. I have a slightly newer but very similar Admiral set, it apparently was my mom's TV when she was young. I found it in my grandparents' attic. It unfortunately didn't really survive that environment. I can get a crappy raster, but no matter what I do, I can't fix it. To top it off, the traces are falling off of the printed circuit board.

I dunno if I'll fix it.

Looking at that reminds me of the story that appeared recently about the Internet issues a UK village had for a year because of an old tv.
