Hi- Today I received in the mail a Montgomery Ward catalog! It wasn't one of vintage, nor was it of an ancient age, but a modern, brand new catalog, depicting new electronics and what-nots. I was overly thrilled, and pranced about in glee.

Could my beloved brand be returning? currently appearing as a mere mail-order catalog, as it was in it's early days.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;">BUT THEY HAVE A CHARGE CARD!</span>

<span style="text-decoration: underline;">If only they had WARDS brand items!</span>

Do you think they may return? I'll be camping out at a hopeful new store, ready to hit the vacuum isle!

Did you like Montgomery Ward? Reviews?

Here's a link to their site, and it's VACUUM ISLE!

My mom got that catalog in the mail 6?? months ago, she was thrilled. Not sure if she has purchased or not, or why she got one.

It's Not The Original Montgomery-Ward

In 2000, Montgomery-Ward finally gave up the ghost and liquidated everything. In 2004 a company called Direct Marking Services Incorporated, DMSI bought the rights to the Montgomery-Ward name and opened up shop as an online retailer. In 2008 DMSI went bankrupt and the Montgomery-Ward unit was bought by a company called Swiss Colony, which owns several retail catalog businesses. I can't remember where, but I did read an article saying that the company was thinking about bringing back all their name brands.

Thanks for the great info Tyler,
Swiss colony is located in Monroe Wisconsin.. The company use to work at for many years printed their catalogs. That was back in the late 70's 80's and early 90's..we also printed Montgomery Wards, Sunday newspaper inserts and some of their catalogs.
