Pimento cheese spread on toasted whole-grain bread. The cheese spread is "just like home-made" and came from the Philippines, brought to us by a friend who had recently been there (thanks, JJM!). It's deeee-licous!

Sausage patties - nothing special here. My "inner carnivore" just felt like having some meat.

Sliced peach from Ralphs. Sweet and juicy -- surprisingly so for big-market fruit.

Dry-roasted cashews, also from the Philippines. These flavorful nuts have a crisp, paper-thin hull that gives them a delightful crunch. Cashews have always been my favorite nut and these are exceptionally good.

Deviled eggs left over from my July 4th barbecue.

Ang sarap nito!

C-R,

You're killing me.... I LOVE pimento cheese and I never get to eat it... my doc frowns on it and it seems nobody else around here 1 - likes it, or 2 - is willing to even try it.... So I only get it when I go to Kentucky to visit relatives, in the Philippines (used to travel there frequently for work once upon an age gone by) or if someone else happens to have some. And the cashews have me dying for some... off to the store I guess.
