Missing screw for speed switch -- Kirby D50

Sooooo...I'm almost finished with my D50 and unfortunately, I'm missing the screw that attaches the dual speed switch assembly to the fancase. I've checked my entire workbench, my garage floor -- nothing. So, it's looking like I'll have to either run to the hardware store or order an OEM screw (lol). Does anybody know the screw size and/or part number?

You are looking for part number 134456, the speed switch mounting screw.

I guess you can go buy a screw. You could take one off another part of the vacuum and replace once you get the replacement.

It's just a screw? Like Les says, use another screw from another part of the machine to find out what fits, then match the diameter and thread pitch to that, and measure (or guesstimate) the length you need.

Especially with small screws, it's helpful to know beforehand if it's metric or standard. But not 100% necessary.

The screw on the top left of the face of the vacuum. That screw connects outer shells Im pretty sure it's same diameter and a hair longer than original but the vacuum if you sealed it will stay together. That screw I believe is a flathead and one for switch is a Phillips. The other screw that is same length and diameter is the two screws holding power switch on. There a different metal as there electrical screws but same dimensions.
I'd use the one off the face and wait for new one your vacuum will not suffer in anyway it's over 50 years old. It won't let 1 screw hold it back.

It's an 8 32 by 5/8" screw
