Another new baby arrives at Scott's house, again via godfathers Marc Turbyfill and Rick Benedikt! The first Connie, a "non-floater", and what a beauty. I don't think it was ever used. Not a mark on the canister, hose looks brand new, all boxes look showroom new! Kind of a big step for me, this is my first non-upright adoption!

1954 Connie Model 82

Look at the boxes! Also, note the "wheels" attachment that you could set the Connie on and let it ride around, since it was not a "floater".

Dolly!

The vac is too nice for words...but that dolly!! is that a Hoover accessory or a bojack, I have never seen one, but I love rare stuff like that! Congratulations!

Dolly!

You know I am not 100% sure, it doesn't say Hoover on it anywhere, but it sure fits like it was made by them! I bet Marc or Rick or Fred or Jeff or someone would know, if they happen across this post!

Dolly

Scott,The Dolly was a Hoover accessory. It was produced by them.I learned this infor. from our very own Rick B. Love how new it looked and had fun hearing it run the other nite. Another Glamour....pink ge

Ugh..

I'm jealous! That's another one in absolutely remarkable shape. Just like Rick loves original cords, I'm a sucker for the original boxes. **droooooool**

I, too, have never seen that dolly accessory, nor have I ever seen it mentioned in any parts catalog or Hoover repair manual. It makes much sense, though. I know Fred N. uses the dolly from his FilterQueen Princess under his 82 Connie -- it fits perfectly.

What's the cord/plug like? -- very seldom does one see the original plug on a model 82. Sometimes the cord, but seldom the plug.

Stunning condition, Scott. You're right it was maybe used once then put away in the box. There's not a mark on the swivel arm! Amazing.

Any wear marks at all?

I recall that kirbyvertibles Phillip Muller had one of those Connie Caddies on eBay last year. (?) Not only did I get outbid on that but a few weeks later a round Constellation manual showed up on eBay and torn from my grasp. :-(

Oh well, I'm content with my Canadian 822 with original hose wands & tools. And a bojack manual printed from scans...

Our Neighbors Across

The street had an 82 with the dolly when I was a kid. I vividly recall it and have been searching for the dolly. You lucky stiff. That is beautiful.

Dolly

This dolly did come from Hoover as an 'option' and came in a brown corrugated box with 'Hoover' printed in blue all over it, as I recall. Kyle Mathews awesome collection includes the first one I had ever seen first hand and still in its box!

Nice Connie!

Sure wish the hose and the attachment caddy for my 82 Connie looked that nice! My Grandma always kept the hose hung up, and the weight of the connector permanently stretched it, and my caddy has a few tears.
