Gosh I thought they rarely went above $900! If that's the case, they are moving into door-to-door price territory. I wonder if it include a powered minibrush with that price, or any extra filters/bags...

I don't know a ton about Miele vacuum cleaners, but I must say that I'm really starting to like them better the more I learn about them. I found a press release showing all six of the new S8 lineup, but according to it, the S8 isn't supposed to be released to the general public for sale until Monday October 8th! I'll put portions the press release in my link here if I can showing the lineup of S8's to be released, but that is certainly a beautiful machine! $1599 does sound steep, but if you can't afford the top of the line S8, they offer a lower-end S8 for $749.
