Most hoarders have storage away from the elements.
 
It looks like such a large array of vacuums, I am sure there are plenty of collectors in the area interested in adopting one or two. I guess the best advice is to keep the cleaner outside when you first bring it home to make sure no ants or other insects have made their homes inside the machine. Once it’s thoroughly cleaned, it could be safe to bring inside.
 
The machines with the repair tag around the handle must be 'trade-ins' on a new machine. I have that many in one year, if not more. The difference is I take them to the tip. Once I have ten (about two weeks worth), we strip them for cords and throw them away. They were too expensive a repair for the original customer, who now has something else.
