Viking tank

As I recall all Viking tanks I saw were packaged similar to some Rainbow & Filter Queen. That is,the vacuum included standard hose, wands & atts and then for the power nozzle you added electric hose, power nozzle & wands.---Marcus,Very Nice vacs! The orange is what US saw first but never with your power nozzle and different rugfloor tool.---Funvacfan,Hope to have all parts together for complete tank soon, but not days maybe 2-3 weeks as there are more vintage on list to check ahead of yours as well as day to day operation of vac store.--Jimmy

Vikings!

Those are VERY good vacuums, but the motors are sealed, if the bearings get dry ETC, all you can do is replace the whole motor unit, some GE motors used in 60s Kenmores were like this also, the end of the armature is not threaded like a Lamb motor, the whole thing is assembled and then the end of the motor shaft is bradded like a rivet almost.

For everyone outside of Canada - it's interesting to note the use of the name "Viking".

Since the early 1960's that was the store brandname for the giant Timothy Eaton department store chain in Canada. And up until the mid 1980's, Eureka made most of Canada's "Eaton Viking" vacuum cleaners.

It is possible that when Eaton's discontinued using the Viking name, Sweden's Electrolux grabbed up the copyright to use on vacs in North America. Hmmmmm.....anybody know?
