Hello all,
just wanted to share with you my emotion! I've just purchased on ebay Italy a Lux mod V in good conditions, with case and some attachments. I'll receive it tuesday or wednesday. Paid it € 120 shipping included, not little but...I couldn't resist!
I'll post better pictures when I get it. Now my model V is not alone on the shelf!
Greetings,
Tommy

Great, this is a very rare stick vac type V5. I think there are all accessories with.

Best Regards

Hello Tommy,

Congratulations, I understand your feelings. I only completed the 'transplant' of a good 5 motor from a rather imperfect body into a far better body that had a poor motor- bad for the blood pressure a this was not just unfamilar but, tricky and very tight territory indeed!!!!

I also have the chromed metal hose but it is rather stiff in parts and I just do not know what to do with it. It's such a shame as the covered hose on my model 11 is fine as is the hose on my 10,

Again well done, Regards, Walter, Shrophire, England.

hey guys, I haven't received it yet. What I don't understand is why if the sller says "still working" on the plate is writte 125 volts... as you know we en Europe have 220 volts. my other model V stlil smells burning or bad after 15 years or so. I never had the chance to see one in motion and hear its sound. Maybe this one has been re-wired . we'll see! It's not that I need them perfectly working nd I don't expect to use them, but "seeing how they sound" is a good experience!
Last years's spring I bought an electrolux_i don't know what model, or I don't remember now-but from the 40s and as it was in Sardegna (island in italy) I wanted to heve it shipped to my house there (so I saved on shipping costs) and when I arrived for my summer holidays I found a big box on the table. It was wonderful because it was in practice my first real vacation in my new house in Sardegna afer refurbish etc,and I had that wondarful baby with me. I am scared usually at turning on old things (AND PLEASE DON'T THINK BAD) but when I did it and I heard the soft, smooth whisper of its motor I literally fell in love with it and I did most of my little daily vacuumings with it. it was a pleasure! At the end of holidays I brought it to Varese and meet his fellows in my collection.
Sorry I've been too long.
Kisses, tommy

Hey Tommy:

The seller may have a 120/240 volt transformer that he has used to try the machine. They are available there. In England they are required for worksites as all tools used on large work sites are 120 for safety. This not only allows for a lower voltage it also gives an isolated current so there is far less chance of a shock.
