Regarding flip over floor tool
Oh and yes, I completely agree with you. I don’t know why they discontinued the flip over rug and floor tool...I love that tool. It’s still made and only standard on the Guardian Platinum.
I’m guessing when the plastic bodied machines became the lower level machines back in the late 80s they continued the single sided floor tool with them as this is how they were made in the Canadian market as the plastic bodies machine were the Canadian machines. The flip over combination tool was then only continued on some of the top of the line machines but there were a few years when it was not included on any machine such as when the Renaissance was the top of the line, it was not included and they may have stopped making it for a few years but then reintroduced it as a top of the line only included tool.
In my experience, Aerus sales is all negotiable so if there’s something you want that’s not included...ask them to throw it in to sweeten the deal and then you’ll buy.
I use my flip over tool a lot, I have mostly hardwoods and a few small area rugs and door mats, when I don’t tfeel like pulling out the power nozzle I just do those rugs with the rug side of the flip over tool. Those small rugs don’t need the power nozzle every time I run the vacuum. I usually just do them about once a month with the power nozzle. Hence the flip over tool is quite convenient for me.
When we lived in a house with wall to wall carpeting and floors in the kitchen foyer and hallways I didn’t use the straight suction side hardly ever, but now I use it more.
I have one with the Electrolux I use as a shop vac...makes the unit very easy to use and versatile.
