Asking for a friend - Does anyone have a link or site aerus lux vacs? Specifically looking to replace the stainless steel casing as it looks a bit like a car after a hailstorm. Would also like to get a new cover for the power-head; although i really like the look of the silver on top. I've done a few google searches but not finding these specific parts. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, that's what I figured. I called one dealer earlier but he wouldn't sell me the part without installing it. Said it was too complex of procedure to do it myself. I told him I knew how to use hex screwdrivers. He didn't laugh.

I'm not sure. Full disclosure, I'm not the original owner so even it was, I don't think they would honor it. Most warranties are not transferable. My Kirby's wasn't. But you raise up a good question. I was trying to figure out the age but couldn't find anything about Lux serial numbers and corresponding manufacturing dates. I think it's one of the first generations based on the power nozzle cover.

Update: I found a dealer willing to sell me just the parts. $110 for the outer stainless steel skin and $35 for the power nozzle cover. The outer skin was more expensive than I was thinking, but the power nozzle cover was cheaper, so in total, I'm happy. Thanks everyone for the advice and help. Anyone know how to read their serial numbers? (S 01514 C) I'm still curious about the age.

ClosetVac,

If you have a part number for the cover with the silver decal on could you post it here along with the model number of the power nozzle nozzle it came on? Thought those were not avail any more.
