While cleaning out my aunts garage I came across this old Hoover, I did some research on line but haven't been able to find one like it.
Maybe you guys out there have some info?
It is a Hoover and the bag says Hoover Pixie. The serial plate says, 100 to 120V 0-60 cycles 160 watts, NO.V 152550, Model 1001, Made by Hoover in England, The Hoover Co. N. Canton Ohio.
It still runs and it looks to be the original bag although there is a hole in the bag and the bag was previously patched.
I was wondering if because it was manufactured in England it is a rare bird in North America.
Any thoughts anyone?

Hoover Pixie

Hoover Pixie should've had a short blue veriflex hose, crevice tool, wand, upholstery brush (as shown). Not terribly uncommon. Sold alongside the model 63 Triple Action uptight. Kind of a modified Hoover Dustette.

Info much appreciated

Thanks for the info guys, I guess the hose and attachments were lost and they worked up something to work. Any guesses on what age it might be and is it worth anything? Once again thanks.

Hoover Pixie.

There were two versions of this but what you have is the first. It dates back to 1955, and is an awesome machine.

Years later it became a smaller version of the Hoover Handi-Vac, a stick vacuum, but I don't have any pictures.

1955, interesting, after taking a good look I don't think it ever had a flexible hose, that aluminum hose is factory, I am sure of it.
I reallly don't have any use for it and don't want to trash it as there are people are interested in vacuums, what would be a fair price for it. thanks

1955 Hoover Pixie.

I have one in great condition, but I'm sure there are other collectors here who would love to have one. May I suggest you post it on our site called 'Super Market,' and see what happens.

Here's mine, with the attachments and display box. And yes, the metal wand and upholstery brush that you have would have come with it, but the hose, dusting brush, crevice tool, and shoulder strap would have been included also.
