I saw what appeared to be a gray woven cloth hose on eBay. It had the chevron-style pattern of the LX and E cloth hoses, unlike the XXX-style pattern of the Model XXX, but I thought due to its color combination it would look really good on a Model XXX.
I could tell that it was a bojack hose because it had thick rubber cuffs on both ends, with the obvious intention being to allow any metal fittings to be connected to it. But it looked really nice so I decided to bid on it and was the only bidder. When it arrived, I was surprised to see that it's actually woven vinyl and not cloth.
I was a tiny bit disappointed for a minute until my eye happened to catch my beautiful factory-reconditioned gray hammertone Model G that was a wonderful gift to me a few years back. I set the dark gray hose next to the machine and was stunned at how beautiful it looked with the machine!
It's in perfect condition, completely supple and airtight, passing the Roger Proehl Hose Test with flying colors. So I decided to use it with my gray Model G. All I had to do was carefully saw off the rubber cuffs and it was a snap fitting metal Electrolux hose ends onto it. I used the handle from a Model F since it has a matching gray suction relief vent.
I think this hose just looks fantastic with this Electrolux! Its dark color picks up the dark color of the paint color, and the light gray chevron pattern pefectly picks up the light gray color of the trim. A match made in sweeper heaven!
Granted, the original Silverado hose (which this machine came with) is reversed -- light gray background with dark gray chevrons and it also looks wonderful with the machine. But the darker color somehow evokes the style and color of the E-Automatic machine and hose, and it makes the G look more "vintage."
Oh, and when I first received the machine, I had attached a metal swivel connector to the Silverado-era floor brush instead of the cheaper plastic connector, making the brush look older-style but also more durable.

P.S.: I really like the later Electrolux L-shaped power nozzle with a headlight, and I have one in matching gray color, so that's the one I use with this machine.
