Found these and thought I would share. Some of you may have seen these already.

A small teeny tiny portion of one single store (of two the same size) here in Omaha. Owned by two brothers.

Here is the front room. ALways changing with vintage machines.

Continuing down to...

the first of two basements. This is where he keeps the newer and less rare stuff.

THe kirby PILE. My friend has bought most of them up already.

OMG, I would never find cool vintage stuff like that in a vac shop here, not even in the dumpster out back!  And that basement looks like a spooky vacuum graveyard.  No wonder you talk about that place a lot.

LOL

I have more pictures on AW.org, however its a super forum thread, and its old, so unless one is a member you cant view them. So I cant get to them anymore.

This isn't even the creepy part of the store. There is a whole nother sub basement with easily 3-4 times as many vacuums, with much much older and rare machines.

I have found some old eureka turquoise uprights, with cord winders, and lots of convertibles, as well as dozens of hoover coffee cans and such.

It.is.unbelievable. :P

I thought about getting it to match with my Montgomery wards eureka. Looks to be the same time period.

Here are the following machines that my friend and I have dug out of here-

2 hoover 150s (there is at least 3 still down there)
Constellation 84
Scotts and Fetzer Sanitation system- all original
Kirby model C- all original missing nozzle plug
Kirby 508- 560. (about 6 of them)
Several sanitronics thru heritages
American Lincoln kirby- all original unused
Comvac 1300
Hoover Lark model 12 all original
Hoover 65 base
Monitor upright (apex 60X series)

Some notable machines left down there that we have found so far-

Hoover 150 x3
Hoover model 25 x4
Hoover model 26 x6
Hoover 800 x3-4
Hoover 825 x1
Hoover 700 and 725 x lots!
Hoover 102 and 105 x3
Hoover 541/3 x 3-5

Original model luxs- x2-3

And SOOO much more.

Unfortunately!

Here, I find most of my stuff at re sale shops and old hardware stores, I dont know of any old vac shops, or at least any that have anything, you are right about the Eureka, it is the counterpart to your Wards!! Late 40s early 50s, First of the Eurekas that are now Sanitaires!

I found more pictures!

First...

The massive canister bin on the main floor next to the shop.

That pinkish connie 84 way in the back is the one I own now.

MOAR

THE OLD BASEMENT.

This is where the real treasures were. The only light down in the vast basement was coming from that work light.
