Login problems

Hi all: i'm new here & having intermittent login problems, I'm accessing the site via my mobile. I keep getting a message that I don't have permission to access the site or that I've performed an illegal action. Anyone had this or have any ideas please ?.

I wonder if it's a problem with your Internet Service Provider and their DNS servers? That's what is sounds like it could be.

Hi: Thanks for the reply. It's possible, but wouldn't that affect all sites ?.
I tried accessing the site via 2 different browsers, both giving the same result.
The other thing is, this only seems to happen during the daytime. When it gets to evening there's normally no problem.

Hmmm, are you at different locations meaning different ip address when it works and when it doesn't?

Hi: No unfortunately I'm in the same place all the time. All day yesterday no access, just the message Forbidden every time. This morning, I go to access the site just to see what happened. No problems site came straight up.

Been trying to access the site all morning, the message I've been getting is: Forbidden, you do not have permission to access this server.

Hi Andy, may I ask then how are you posting this message? Unfortunately it appears that you are the only member having this odd issue.

I'm able to post this message because after trying multiple times I was finally able to gain access, don't ask me how or why. I've absolutely no idea, as I've already said.

Same problem all day yesterday.

This was the on screen message:


403 Forbidden you don't have permission to access this server.


Additionally a 404 not found error was returned while trying to use an error document to handle the request.

Same problem all day yesterday again

No access once again yesterday, returning same errors as above.


Seems to be every other day, there's no access.

Does anyone have any ideas why I keep getting this problem with the server ?.


 


Even tried accessing with a tablet and laptop but still the same problem.

Thanks for the reply, it's driving me nuts to be honest. I've even gone to change from , for example Vintage to Household say & instead of that section appearing the message you don't have permission to access this server comes up.

It has to be something with your internet provider Andy, I suspect their DNS server is not working properly.

I have this problem too. When it does not work at my flat, it often works on my friends computer nextdoor, but there is another lady where I visit and I can never get the vacuumland on her computer. Always 404 or 403. I was not able to get here for over 24 hours yesterday. I am not complaining of course, I am just observing.

I get this problem all the time. I tried asking Robert but I had no response. Not that I check every day, but usually goes in a block of at least a month or two before I can get back on

I wish I could explain this guys. It seems to only effect certain members in the UK. The common denomination in all this seems to be the ISP being used is called "Talk Talk". I suspect the problem is on their end.

I am indeed with Talk Talk following their taking over my account from Virgin Media which I could do nothing about. But I have had problems when it was Virgin too and also when I use my friends BT network. I've been unable to get on for the last 24 hours but I am enjoying reading the news now I am back.
