My Uncle gave me a Kirby Sanitronic 7 and a Heritage 2 Turbo. They both work well, but the Sanitronic had the light bulb housing cut off, and is missing the nozzle. It's too bad, because it runs beautifully and has the ORIGINAL bag. I was wondering, if a Sanitronic 50 nozzle would fit on this? I saw a couple on ebay. The Heritage is perfect and just needed a new cord. Thank You! -Mitchell

A Dual 50 nozzle will NOT fit a Sanitronic VII. The 50 safety switch has 2 buttons where as the Sanitronic VII safety switch only has 1 button. The activation tab on the back of the nozzle is in a different place, the VII would be centered and the Dual 50 would be either side of center.

If the light hood was cut off is there still the hinge? If so you can drive the pin out and replace the hood.

Thank You for telling me that.

That was what I was wondering. The hood is actually still there, I meant that the light socket that holds the bulb was cut off by a scrapper (They both came from a scrap yard, the poor things!)

The good news is that the Headlight Socket & Wire part #108268 is still available from Kirby. They used that part from the 516 thru the Classic.

Next question, did they cut the wires? Because the wires run thru a hole in the top of the motor housing and come out the side going to the switch. If the wires are still there and they were cut you might have a wire touching another wire or shorting to the case.

562 nozzle and brushroll ordered!

I will post when it's here. Next on my list is to get a new light bulb socket housing. Are there parts available for that still?
