I need a new brush assembly. Some thread or something got wound around the rollers and caused them to overheat melting the plastic ends, now it rattles. Looked online and see various versions, wood, metal and fiberglass, mostly in the $16-$26 range.

What is the best replacement, and what is a good source???

The new genuine Kirby Brush rolls are still wood but with ball bearings rather than sleeve. For your model there is either 2 or 4 row ones available. The 4 row is pry the best bet as far as performance.

I usually get my Kirby parts from a e-bay store called "vacuum needs". Good prices and awesome customer service.

Matt L & Kirby brushroll...

Hello Matt.

Depending on the damage with the brushroll you have, it possibly could be repaired with original Genuine Kirby parts (if maintaining originality is a concern).

If that is not a concern it could be replaced with a new brushroll for $12.77 to $21.55; depending on which style you want.

I can help you with any of those options (reparing or replacing) if you wnat to email me directly (in my profile).

hagn all

Bill
