i looked it over i see were he says he used a punch but i don't see anything about what size of punch was used.

I do not remember the size I used, as I just picked one that would be big enough to hit the pin but small enough to fit through the hole.

would u be able to try some out and see what one fits. problem is i don't have a set and id rather just buy the size i need rather then buy a whole set that ill probably never use more then one time.

It might be possible to use a screw of suitable diameter as well. Those pins are often not that tight (but could be!) May be worth a try.
None of my vacs had the roll pins, only the solid pins. Some of those I had just used small screwdrivers to serve as punches.

update for u guys. i figured out that the size u need is a 3/16" or 4.5mm in metric. ordered a 3/16" roll pinch punch made by gray tools and used a ball peen hammer was able to pound it out replaced the headlight cap and put an led bulb in. i also replaced the fill tube with one of the new avalir fill tubes and the f type bag adapter. tube fit perfectly in the heritage i double zip tided both ends.

i was thinking it wouldn't fit due to the 1hd boot being a oval shape vs round. but it fit tightly i had to use a screwdriver to get it over the boot i also put a bead of silicone around the boot to help seal it. i was able to put 2 zip ties at the bottom boot and 3 on the bag adapter i pulled the zip ties as tight as they would go with pliers. the tube is on the boot super tight now and i don't think it will be going anywhere.

i had the 2hd bag adapter on it before but 3 times I've had the bag fall off it and make a huge mess inside the outer bag.with the new f adapter i don't see that happening ever again with how well the bag locks in to this adapter.
