Kirby attachments...

to me they are so generic and sad in the way they look,To me rather cheap. For,what one pay's for a Kirby one would think they would make a set of metal wands,a actual floor brush with horse hair, including the dusting brush. There attachments just need to be more than they are.

Kirby metal wands, horsehair brushes???

Yeah right!

I can clearly imagine people griping about the weight and inconvenience of metal wands and accessories!!! The complaints about the weight of the Kirby would only intensify and I believe sales would diminish. Also, can you image what it would do to the cost if all attachments were metal and brushes sourced from horses??? YIKES!

I think Kirby accessories are great as is. I think they "look" just swell, and they perform even better if you twist and lock them as intended.

Also, keep in mind Kirby Company does not set the selling price of their own units. That is done by the Independent Distributors.

I disagree-it is high time for a Kirby attachment upgrade.Go to a collapsing metal wands,Hair floor tool-the dust tool already has hair bristles. The hair bristles last longer than nylon, and don't scratch surfaces as nylon bristles do.The foor tool included with the present Kirby kit is a carpet surface tool only-it doesn't work on bare floors.I have a hair bristle floor tool I got from the vac shop that is much better. At the price of the Kirby such a tool could be thrown into the kit.and make locking tools-the friction has to go.I hardly use my Kirby tools-the tools that come with many other types of canister vacs for example--are much better.
