OK... so my bestie and I were fixing up a Heritage II he got for me yesterday, and we decided to launder the bag. Since we were laundering the Heritage II bag, he decided he wanted to launder his Generation 3 bag with it. However, we could not figure out how to disconnect the hanging part, with the plastic clip and plastic bag top.

Does anyone know how to do this??? Any diagrams or advice would be super!

Removing the bag assembly is pretty easy:

• There's a little hand grip on the underside of the mini-emptor. Just pull it away from the machine It will rotate about 45 degrees and disengage.
• To disconnect the top part, just squeeze where it attaches to the arm that comes off of the handle The plastic bag topper just slides off.
• Removing the mini emptor from the bag requires a couple of tools to take the bag strap loose. The procedure is at the Web page linked below:

Removing plastic bag topper

I know how to disconnect the Emptor, disconnect the fill tube, and remove the outer bag from the upright handle via the clip.

My question is actually, how do you remove the top plastic outer bag topper? Later Generation models just slip over the square plastic clip and the topper comes off. On this model, it seems to be connected like a Heritage bag, but also rivotted/fixed to the topper from the under side.

Help!?

The G3 had a unique connector for the bag to the bag topper. You have to remove a couple of star washers that hold a metal bar to the topper. The bag has slits that slide over the bar. You may not be able to reuse the star washers so plan on buying new, but they shouldn't cost much. It really is a pain to get it off and be careful not to break the plastic pins the star washers are affixed to or else you will need a new topper too. And the clip that holds the topper to the handle also has some clips you have to remove and again, they are a pain to get off and on. I hope this helps.
