Kirby Electro Hygiene for sale

I inherited an old kirby from my someone in my neighborhood. It predates the one that my mother owned in the early 70s, but I do not know by how many years. I have used this weekly in my shop, but can't find bags for it.

If it has value, I prefer to pass it on to someone who will find joy in having it, rather than simply throwing it out. Is there any interest from anyone in it?

Just an FYI, that's a Royal manufactured machine under the Electro Hygiene label. The bags and belts are still very much available. You don't actually have to get rid of it unless you really don't want it.

Electro-Hygienes were made by Royal, not Kirby... both companies were founded in Cleveland, OH.

This Electro-Hygiene is a model 285, this one dating from 1975 to 1985 going by the casting designs and Adjust-O-Rite plate. The nameplate that has the model and serial numbers can be found on the back of the nozzle by the front wheels. Example: Model 285, Serial No. L79-D-60841.
