Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50 for sale in Chicago Suburbs

Hello all-

I have been corresponding with a gentleman in Nort-Eastern Illinois, who has a Kirby Dual 50 for sale. He sent me some pictures, and after a few emails back-and-forth, regarding what I thought it could be worth, he decided that I could list it on the forum to see if there were any takers.

The cleaner is in pretty good shape -- based on the pictures; I told him that it looks like it needs a new bag, some trim & belt lifter, and a good buffing. But the tools look to be low-use and the boxes look pretty nice, too.

He would like to get $100 Or Best Offer (Plus shipping, if applicable). I'm posting this in the "Members Only" forum to see if we have any takers. Attachments look unused for the most part.

I am looking to find a nice D50. Someday one will come. Love the original boxes too.

My friend is gathering up all the original D80 attachments for me, along with boxes. Im pretty excited.

The Dual 50 is a beautiful vacuum, and one of Kirby's finest machines in my mind.

The wonderful glowing logo on the hood never ceases to fascinate me!

And heres an interesting bit: It was called the DUAL Sanitronic because it was the first Kirby to have the two speed motor, which every model since then has had. Low speed for the nozzle and high speed for the hose.

On mine, the little plastic/glass emblem on the belt lifter kept falling off, but a little bit of crazly glue and it was fine. Im sure that could work for that cracked belt lifter emblem on it... If not Im sure they sell replacements.
