Well i finally got my Kirby Diamond Edition out of limbo when i found the hose and nozzle. Well no more using the Nozzle. the thing burns belts like crazy so its now a surface cleaner with the surface tool :D

Have you checked the endcaps on your Kirby nozzle's brushroll? If the Kirby is burning through belts, the most likely cause is hair build-up in the endcaps & bearings. The other possibility is that you are using generic belts; in my experience, I have found that generic Kirby replacement belts don't work nearly as well as genuine Kirby belts, & they burn out quicker.

Hope this helps & you get the nozzle working properly on your Kirby! It would be a shame to waste such a good vacuum to hose cleaning only.

no ive been using only the genuine belts on it. and right now until i can get the tools for the Filter Queen its serving as a above floor cleaner. and no i havent check the endcape as ive only recently found the nozzle after a few years sitting.

I use my Diamond Edition all the time and I have never had any trouble with it. And I haven't had to adjust the brushroll yet, and I am on my six belt since I bought it brand new. I like it a lot better then my Sentria. So the Sentria just sits there in the corner.... Dan

I know the sentria I got wouldn't pick up anything from the carpets because the brushes were too stiff & it would bounce & skip across the floor & from time to time there was a burning smell & the belts would stretch out constantly. Now since I got a softer brush roll for it all those problems vanished. Mark
