Took my freshly factory refurbished Kirby D-80 for a "mini-spin" yesterday in a medium sized rug at home. I can't believe how well it functions! It was so easy to maneuver around, but yet it STILL wanted to try to eat the rug! And the lines the brushroll left... whew! Gorgeous! I try not to use it too much as it is more of an heirloom to me than a collectors item. It was granny's. My most prized possesion most definately. I just recently moved due to a relationship that ended bitterly and all Kirby's except my like-new Legend II and D-80 made it up to the attic of my brothers house. The D-80 and Legend II are in my room with me!

OK Cory.....show us the pictures! LOL

I want to see how good a job they did!

pics..

i'll try to get some shots of it this weekend... I'm almost convinced they put one of the newer Heritage/Legend styled motors in it. Almost every "Pre-Classic" kirby I have used sound almost the same.. this one sounds like a Heritage, and it seems to have a little more torque to it when I first power it up.. it's definately alot beefier than I recall... quite possibly the perfect Kirby save for the bag system...
