Kirby COMVAC 1300 or 1600 w/Metal Fan?

While I understand that both the Kirby COMVAC 1300 and 1600 originally came with the same gray Lexan motor fan that was used on the Tradition (from serial #G000001) and the Heritage I, for the few of you on here that have one of these two, or both, machines, did you ever change out the original plastic fan to a 10-blade (119056) metal fan?

Like I said before, from any donor Kirby between the model 516 and Tradition 3CB. You just have to look around.

You would think some company out there would manufacture metal fans as an aftermarket item. There are many collectors out there who would buy them for their Kirbys and Hoovers.
