Ok, all you crafty people in Vacuumland! How would you suggest I go about restoring the logo on this bag? I laundered it today, and it turned out fine. However, the few flecks of red washed off. From what I can tell, the original logo was red with a white outline. There is still a faint white outline where the logo was. Would I use a permanent marker? Paint Pen? I don't have a crafty bone in my body, so I don't have a clue. I thought about taking it with me into Hobby Lobby and seeing what they suggest. Thanks for any suggestions!

The logo is red and silver. There are a variety of ways to do it. If David Watters is around, he can give some good suggestions.

David, you there? :)

Yes I am here...hehe

Yes Joe is right, go to any Hobby or Craft store and get fabric paint. Now, this is the same paint the crafters use to pain on shirts, t-shirts, sweat shirts and the like. I have recently used and like due to the fact is has a tiny or you make a tiny opening at the top and I mean tiny because you do not want to have a big glob of stuff. Well, you can use a stiff tiny brush but you still have to clean the brush off. This was the tiny opening in the top of the small bottle, gives you less mess to work with.

Duncan makes this one I have used recently and like better than what I have used in the past. It is called Scribbles 3-Dimensional fabric paint.

This silver I use is Iridescent Silver and the red is Shiny Barn Red.

When I apply this paint to the fabric I use the tip of the little paint bottle as the brush and spread ever so gently over the area you want painted and yes by staying in the lines. Squeeze a little at a time, or if the get the hang of it, you can squeeze gently as you paint. It says let dry 24 hours, which I do. This takes a steady hand and can need a great deal of patience. I hope this helps you all, and if you have any questions email me at [email protected] or call me 720-231-3836.

GE I did..

gold...on a GE straight suction. The logo was nearly gone I had to guess on some of it. I did use a gold gel pen on this. Tried it for the first time, it worked but I had to paint it a couple of times before it satisfied me.

YAAAAAAAAY Mr. Watters, king of the bag-painters!! You really do great work, far better than I ever could.

btw I still have that Kirby bag that you did with red and silver glitter -- it's like "Kirby does Vegas" hahaha!

Glad you're here, always good to see your postings.

That's very cool! Thank you! The only art class I ever took was in Junior High School. I made a C-. I think the only reason the teacher didn't fail me is because she and my Mom were friends! LOL! But I'm up for this challenge. At least I don't have to paint trees or mountains reflecting in water. Very hard as I recall!
