Tyler, I'm not positive about this, but I think the 510 belt lifter would have been black with red lettering. I'll bet you already knew that. All the trim would have been black as well. Red belt lifters are rare as hen's teeth, so I can only imagine how hard it would be to find a black one! If you're ever interested in learning how to paint trim with vinyl automotive paint, please let me know. And good luck finding what you need!

Actually it was the model 505 that had the black trim, including the black belt lifter with red lettering and the black bag with red script Kirby logo and gold accents.

The 508 was the first Kirby model to don a red belt lifter with silver lettering. The bag was gray and the featured a red Kirby logo with silver accents. And the 509 was the first Kirby with the revised script on both bag and belt lifter.

I do, however, have a model 510 with the 505's belt lifter on the rug nozzle.

The 508 was the first Kirby to have gray trim, which continued up to and including the model 512. The 513 was the first Kirby to have red trim for the nozzle's bumper guard, and also to have the new-style foot switch.

The 514 was the first Kirby to have a red handle grip.

The 515: first Kirby with 10-blade metal fan - but the last to have the motor unit design going back to the model C of 1934.
