The Elite model should have more features IMO. It doesn't have the pedal height adjustment the Intuitions do, just that knob that one must bend over to adjust. None of Kenmore's current uprights have the features that the Progressives of a few years ago had. Gentle Sweep agitation setting for delicate items. Three power levels that could be manually set as well as the Inteliclean setting that would vary the suction automatically based on how much dirt was picked up. I think the Elite model should have these features if it's an Elite.
As far as the manufacturers, I'd say based on the Elite model's reset button and attachments, it is likely made by Panasonic. It is odd that the full size bagless canister model starts with 600. It seems to be made by Panasonic, as it has a Cen-Tec powerhead and Panasonic attachments and wands. All the current Kenmore canister model numbers still start with 116.
